Hello All,
I have had chickens off and on throughout life. My grandmaw would send me out to get the eggs out the coup. I've had RI. Reds and Plymoth Rocks. This spring we have a plethera of 10 brown layers, 4 top notch bantums, and 1 Frizzle Bantum (below). I love the personalities of the bantums and they are not so crazy like the brown layers.
This time around we plan to work smart to provide simplicity in the coup leading to a healthy hen environment with the new flock.
We have a dog who licks her lips around the chicks. Shes been known to take a bite out of our previous free-rangers. After trying to slowly introduce the dog, all bets are off and it's a must for complete protection over the chickie flock.
I am currently a student at KSU studying accounting and work at a private post secondary school for cosmetology and barbering. I am a parent of two pretty well grown children. AND #Ilovebirds
