NJ - Sussex County Poultry Fanciers Annual Spring Show!!

Wood ducks are similar to the Mandarins- they are cousins and the only ones in their family. Wood ducks are native to US and Mandies are native over seas (Asia...)
What do I have to know about coming? Directions, parking, entrance fee, all of that. Is there a link/website to the show itself?

All you have to do is show up, and ask a ton of questions. Judging begins at 9am. Just remember not to go down the aisle when the judge is working. Bring money for food and for the ticket auction.

Directions are here, on the State Fair website:

http://www.newjerseystatefair.org/html/page.cfm/directions.

If you are coming up Friday night, I strongly recommend that you travel up the west side of the state, unless you can be past Newark by 3:30. Once, the less than 90 minute trip took me almost four hours because of the traffic.

No entrance fee, no parking fee. The poultry building is to the right of the entrance gate - open your window and follow the sound of crowing. There are two barns for us - one enclosed, for the show, and a pole barn, for the food and sales. Parking is kinda haphazard - you'll see where other people are, so park there.

Generally the show is over around 3:30, but we've ended as early as 2:30 and as late as 4:30. No word on the numbers entered yet, the due date is not until Friday.

There is a FB page, but gives just the basic info.

(They tell me they are going to a new format soon - I don't know what that will mean for the info there.)

It should be fun!

I have a beautiful 2 month old black standard cochin roo. My ladies want him GONE!!!!!! They are starting to beat the poo out of him gig It's 12 against 1. He was supposed to be a hen. I'm going to post a pic of him on the gender page. I'm pretty sure he is a roo. If not the other hens just hate him. I'm willing to meet someone part way.
I could bring him to the show if anyone wants him
