Coming are:
Red Silkies, Sultan in white, blue laced red Wyandotte bantams, silver laced polish bantams, black crested white polish bantams, rhode island red bantam pullets, Blue red quill Dutch and Dark Brahma bantam pullets

Oh, and after I ordered them I heard peeping coming from the 'bator and my Araucana eggs are hatching! Love those babies!

Please tell me somebody plans to bring fertile eggs

. I just bought a GQF cabinet incubator off Craigslist, and it looks pretty sad only having 14 chicken eggs, and 14 quail eggs , considering it can hold 270 eggs

LOL, hope everybody is enjoying this Gorgeous Weekend! I will be finishing my coop tomorrow, as I was given all the plywood I need today for FREE! Who knew that plywood costs $25 a sheet these days!

I was about to give up on my coop because of how expensive plywood is, but then the lumber yard managet offered me 3/4 in. cover sheets for free! so now I am back to work.

How's everybody elses weekend going?

I'll bring along some serama eggs! And also large duck (rouen or rouen/black swedish mix) and guinea fowl eggs if anyone might want some of those. My large flock is unfortunately still without a rooster, so none of them are laying fertile eggs obviously. The serama eggs have excellent fertility but are hard to hatch, and the guinea fowl and large duck eggs have excellent hatch rates.

I also have a pair of butterscotch call ducks, but it doesn't seem they're very fertile. Of all their eggs I've put in the incubator, only one so far has grown, and unfortunately that one got destroyed yesterday by one of the chickens. If you want to take a gamble and try them out, though, let me know and I can bring some along for free.

Score on the free plywood--nice! I was shocked by the prices of plywood, too.

Hey... anyone have some chicks that will hatch in the next couple of weeks.... I have a broody that wants to be a mama!!!!! Help... sorry if this isn't the right place to post, but I didn't get any bites in the wanted section.

Awesome, I have 7 Serama in the bator know, but would love some more! And will probably want some duck eggs too, I have a friend who wants some ducklings, so that will make her happy. And if you want a test hatcher for the Butterscotch call eggs, I would be more than happy to try some out, I love Calls!

Great! I'll bring some of all of them, then.

I mostly end up just donating my duck and guinea fowl eggs to my wildlife rehab center for the crows and jays to eat, so if some of the eggs aren't taken home by people that's no worry.

And I've kind of done "test hatches" with the butterscotch eggs (though I'm going to try again, probably after this chickenstock) and had poor results of absolutely no fertility aside from that one that starting growing and got eaten by someone in the coop, so this would be more like a...gamble hatch than a test hatch, haha. But I figure it's worth a shot! My pair is quite nice, I would really like it if their fertility goes up so I can get some ducklings out of them.

Can you stop by my house on your way to get eggs? We leave Saturday morning on vacation. Or, I can have my housesitting person set them out for you on your way back, if that helps. I have Barnevelders & Salmon Faverolles.
(my weekend's going well, the first of the broodies' eggs just hatched.... it's tiny but fast!

Feathered Orange legs, body black & white like a BCM chick. Maybe Bantam Cochin mom & Barnie dad? Too small to be Cuckoo Marans mom, I think)

Thanks Laurieks! Where are you located, since the chickenstock is at my Inlaws, I will be heading up there late Friday night. But my mom will be going from Santa Rosa to Kelseyville, and if you are close by I could have her pick some eggs up. What are your prices? I'm very interested in Salmon Faverolles.

I'm just north of Santa Rosa, right off the Fulton Road exit. I'm sure we'll be up late Friday packing.
I'll PM you.
I will give you Fav eggs, since my girls are not near the quality of the boys. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=268082&p=41 post #2251 has their pics. The girls are from eggs from MacCallum's flock in Texas (bought on eggbid last August), and the boys are from Bridgett Riddle, who wins a lot with her birds.

Barnie eggs I will give to this group, or trade for better fav eggs (including Bantam) or Lavender anything, or blue egger, or?
