Not again 😣

*HUGE HUGS TO YOU* I don't know what to offer so far as advice, but know you have my positive thoughts and support. Keep her hydrated is all I can say, and continue the warm baths.
It's been half an hour or so of warm baths, her eyes are finally open again
She's been drinking, and splashing a little as of the last few minutes, so I'm confident she's not in any pain, least anymore. Shes still very tired but more energy than before. Tail is returning to normal position
No interest in her favourite foods yet though

Jeez this bird stresses me out! I love her far too much

I pray that she gets past this and makes it alright. They sure can stress us out when things go wrong. I think some Hens are just more prone to laying problems than others. I have been very fortunate with my 12 duck hens that I have never had a laying problem. Hopefully this will pass and she will be fine.

Hi Hun,
Life really throws some pretty s****y cards at times doesn’t it ! Please don’t be discouraged you have a beautiful girl there who is very lucky to have a mum who loves and cares for her. I know it can be hard but take a big breath stand back and look at your girls, don’t you just love ā€˜em !
Bear up there is not only a light but also a sunshine filled field full of beautiful red poppies at the end of the tunnel (and someone else to maintain it šŸ˜‚)
Hugz

Hey, was there membrane for the shell that came out?
It sounds like maybe she got startled while making the egg and it came out early. That tends to be super hard on the bird.
You did everything right as soon as you found out there was an issue. The only thing left was making sure she was hydrated (and some one else mentioned that)
You're doing great hon! Your ducks are lucky to have you!

Thank you!
and Yes, when the yolk came out, the soft shell/membrane came out with it.
So I figured I could relax, but it took a while of her feeling really rough before I was able to actually do so
After some cuddles and lots of sipping water, she felt much better and went outside- she was a bit slow, but wandering around and foraging for bugs none the less.
Brought some more feed out, she was chatty as usual, and ate plenty!
She seemed okay at bedtime, a tad tired, but she's had a rough day

It sure did scare me, I've seen her have egg issues so many times now but that was very rough. I don't think I've ever seen her so weak, it sounds dramatic but for a moment I was really worried I'd lose her
