Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

sorry I double posted. my initial post i realized i posted in wrong area...... Hi everyone. I know its too early to sex EE's at just 2 weeks old but its fun to try and guess, but I think I have a couple Roo's so far. I attached side pics and comb pics as best I could. Let me know what you guys think. I'm getting better at sexing by colors and combs on EE's when they;re a bit older but why not try when younger for giggles right? Here goes with names. Thank you. 1. Pidgey 2. Lucy in the sky with diamonds 3. The chicken who's name shall not be mentioned 4. Emma 5. Tommy Chong 6. Megatron The Barreds. Forrest & Jenny Forrest Jenny . I handpicked these guys myself. From what I have learned im 1000% sure Forest is a cockerel which I Chose and Jenny I was told was a barred too but im not 100% sure she is, maybe Dominiquer, but I chose her too as again from what Ive learned is a Pullet. someone suggested she is a sexlinked pullet but he has the undefined dot running into neck, yellow legs and lots of white on wing feathers Well, thats all i got right now. if you want a go at it. please do. Id like to see how on par my suspicions are. Thanks everyone, This place rocks!!!

These two have not yet laid or crowed and I seem to have a cockerel in the mix due to fertilized eggs. Can you tell me if one of these two are my culprit?

I vote girls too. Definitely not an expert, but looks exactly like my silkie cochin females who just started laying at 8 months. I was convinced I had a couple boys because they suddenly got huge, red combs and wattles like the one in your first picture. I also had someone crowing from time to time. The crowing stopped as soon as they started laying though. And the big red combs and wattles came in a few weeks before they started laying.

Hello! I've got two Barred Rocks approximately 11 weeks old. Both sexed as pullets but one is significantly lighter than the other in color(more white than black) but i still see no red comb or other suspiciously roo features. Do I have two pullets? Thank you for your insights!

Two pictures of the 'light' Barred Rock and one of the 'dark' Barred Rock (first photo) for comparison.

Both pullets.

I got a quite a bit of variation in a few of my hatchery sourced Barred Rocks. Both grew up to lay eggs.
