With that size and colour of the comb at that age, I am fairly certain that's a cockerel. (Not an expert though, so might be wrong. But from what I've learnt so far, it does look a lot like a boy)They are abiut 5.5 weeks
You didn't take full body photos so that limits evaluation of pattern and stance. Those things are pretty important in the absence of other things like obvious comb growth and rooster feathers. I would GUESS from the pictures provided that the second chick is male and the other two female.Don't know if I posted my pics in the right place! but here it is again. My chicks are Swedish Flower Hens and are 7 weeks old. I think the black crested one is a girl and hope the other 2 are as well but I don't know. Pic no. 2 and 3 are same chick and 4 and 5 are the same chick. Thank you.View attachment 1044485 View attachment 1044486 View attachment 1044487 View attachment 1044488 View attachment 1044489 View attachment 1044486 View attachment 1044485 View attachment 1044486 View attachment 1044487 View attachment 1044488 View attachment 1044489
Thank you!! I will try and get some full body photos as you suggest. You didn't take full body photos so that limits evaluation of pattern and stance. I'd be optimistic on her. No comb development yet plus the wing has even shading.Guesses on the blue marans?
All of the rest are cockerels, with the exception of the tiny black cochin/silkie mix. The black copper marans, the calico cochin, the chocolate orpington, and the serama are all definite cockerels. Just not sure on the blue. "She" is 6 weeks old, as is the BCM.

The pied one looks like a penguin! I love her. I'm now sure #2 is male and the other two still look female. Notice how he has that really dark red concentrated and splotchy on his back and the third chick has a much softer red all over? That's a pretty good pattern indication.Hi Back again this time with more photos! (just taken them)
pics 1 and 2 (black+white) same chick. Pics 3 and 4 same chick. Pics 5 and 6 same chick.
Last pic is all 6 of them. 3 of them are acting like cocks and the one you suggest is a cock has been chest butting from day 1 but I hoped it would be a girl but I think you are right!
Thank you.

White is cockerel, blue is pullet, partridgey chick is maybe pullet. In a couple weeks, they'll molt and what happens to #3's pattern will tell the tale if the comb doesn't before then.Started a thread and then saw this. Sorry. Attached pics.
