Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Sorry, i was going by the second picture, can't see the beard

She's very timid so it's hard to get good head shots, plus her beard is just starting to come in so no worries

I know this mixed bantam and full size brahma chick is very young and crappy lighting.... But wattles at 1 week 5 days old! Does that say rooster?

The only one without wattles is this one the last photo
Black copper Marans and barred rock. I KNOW he is a rooster since he's a sex link.

the other two have black heads no spot. I thought they were sex links too

I have posted asking before... but here is my little oops frizzle. My hen hid one of her eggs so we have an 10 week old frizzle babe during our Minnesota winter. I am pretty convinced I've got a cockeral but I am just hoping it is somehow a pullet. Haha. Thanks!

yep cockerel

Coming up on 6 months. White is a roo. Im not sure about the black. I go back and forth pretty much every day, but im leaning towards cockerel (i hope not tho. all 3 of my silkie will be cockerels then). I think i see streamers but im not sure if i do or not. The white is same age and is his/her brother. He has long thick streamers coming from his crest. The black has a few thin feathers that are just a tad longer than the rest. What do yall think? Fingers crossed he/she is a pullet!! :fl
Nobody answered? Your black is a cockerel, sorry...

I'm flummoxed! These two birds are siblings - cross between cream legbar mother and bantam Pekin father. I have always understood that offspring of barred hens are always male if barred. These are both barred but at 8m old one is so clearly a cockerel - bright red and well developed comb and wattles, pin feathers, tail feathers, cocky, standing upright- and the other has basically no male features at all. Is it possible to produce a barred pullet from this cross? At 8 months I would have expected it to be more obvious by now if s/he were male.
