Very beautiful! Boys are always the prettiest in my book.Hello! I have a juvenile, not sure of age or breed. He/she was found abandoned on the street in an apartment complex in Dubai; when I got him home and to a vet he was diagnosed with bird mites and secondary infections -- he's had to re-grow all his head feathers and I'm not sure if it affected his comb/body as well. I'm including a photo from his initial vet visit in January, and a photo from about a week ago. Within the past seven days his comb and around the face have been turning more red. No obvious rooster behavior yet, but no eggs either, lol. Thoughts? Thanks! Kate in UAE...![]()

The sun is bleaching out the pic. The comb on the Wyandotte is much darker than the other 3. I'm hoping I'm wrong. I can't legally own roosters where I live and I would hate to have to get rid of him if that were the case.@dewtattoo
What is making you think male? It has messy coloring but a lot of hatchery SLWs do and the messiness is pretty even. I see no comb coloring yet.
