Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Hello Everyone!!! I am hoping my chicks are developed enough for the experts to tell me what gender my chicks are. I have six and will post their photos separately. I banded them all so I can tell them apart.

the first is my Barred Plymouth Rock (BPR) red band
Hi! All of the barred rocks are pullets based on their nice dark coloring. The buff Orps are harder to tell, but so far they look like pullets.

Pullet is the term for a female chicken under 1 yr, hen is over a year.
Cockerel is a male under a year, and cock or cockbird is a male over 1 yr. Sadly cock has another coarser and more frequently used meaning, so rooster seems to be the more common label nowadays.

Can someone please, please tell me if I've mostly boys or girls? Some have a Chushin comb while others have the single. I was told that the red ones were girls while the black and white ones are... You'll have to wait till they mature... Can someone please help!
You will need better pictures. Individual side views and comb close ups are helpful. Also, age and breed of the birds are needed. Generally a large reddish comb means it's a cockerel for a chick under 8wks old or so. I can see at least 4 that I expect are cockerels, but without knowing the age and better pictures, I can't be sure.

When I bought them the store owner said that they're about 2 months old and called Cinnamon Queens. I'll try and get better pictures

I've never had any, but Cinnamon Queens are supposed to be sex linked, and you can tell males from females at hatch by color. Those do not look like the pictures of Cinnamon queens that I've seen.

I have this three and a half month old barred rock. At least I think that's what it is, it was my "rare" chick from the hatchery. Do I have a pullet or cockerel?

I bought this Rhode Island Red as a pullet 6 weeks ago, I think 'she' was a week or so old then. Wanting to make sure she still looks like a pullet I don't have another RIR to compare her to. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Not a barred rock, it would have yellow legs. Maybe a Dominique with the wrong comb type? It has a lot of white, which usually means male for barred birds, but that looks more cuckoo, and not sure if the rule is the same. I think it's possible for a 14 month old pullet to have that much pink comb, but I am really not sure. Leaning toward pullet... let's see what others think.
You could look on the hatchery website and see what they sell for their rare breeds.
