I would be interested in a rabbit processing demo or at least a dish with rabbit meat to see if it's something we want to get into. If not I think we might buy a few just to butcher ourselves and cook. But would still prefer someone experienced to lead the way

I love the idea of someone making a dish with rabbit. I can't remember the last time I had it. Maybe 20 years ago?

I know it's still a ways off but I'm getting ready to place my orders for February and March meaties. If anyone is interested please let me know by the first. I can grow out and process them for you or I can have chicks delivered the Friday before chickenstock. I do need numbers by January 1 though as hubby is itching to order. You can order as few or as many as you like, I have the space.

And I totally forgot to list goslings in my 'what I have available' post. Thanks for reminding me, I somehow forgot that I breed geese, how did I do that? Lol.

Nope, never made a turducken, lol. Actually I've never eaten one of my own birds.

hmmmm!!! Maybe come spring I can make a turducken for us all to enjoy. I REALLY want to try it but I refuse to pay $90 for one.

We know family who had it for this thanksgiving. They said it was really good. I would love to try it.

Pyxis - just catching up on the thread - Sad news ..... a pair of lovely hawks has been wintering near - and Trouble paid the price of being a good rooster. I also lost an AB hen !!! Why oh Why don't they go for the old hens ? I would give them one if they flew down and asked for dinner.

But now they seem to just check the place out and when I let the dog out to bark at them (he looks up in the sky and tracks them) they circle off and go away.

So I have some nice Marans hens - but a Welsummer Rooster - so if anyone is interested in the Marans for nice dark eggs - I can have some chicks/fertile eggs - but not for a pure breeding type this upcoming year. I don't think I will drive anywhere to get a Marans roo ... If someone wants to come to me - I'll take one.

I should have organic Lavander bunches (that is the stems, leaves and flower heads) dried.
And I'll have some prize winning multiple giant iris flowers - they are open pollenated - but should be blue - but I can't guarantee that - because they are near some dark maroon ones too.

I have dibs on a trio of Tufted Geese - just remember - the biggest tufts !!!! THEY ARE MINE ! ALL MINE !!!! LACY told me so.


By the way - can you list some days when you can get together next week ??? We have to try before the holiday. Just PM me.
