NY chicken lover!!!!

Well I didn't figure anyone would pay for the poop. I had bagged some from the room off the garage cuz they are in a round kiddie pool and it was easier. So I thought I offer it rather than drag it to the garden. If you can get a bag of feed or two go for it. Even a dollar is better than nothing.

Shellz -- I don't use straw in the coop. I use it in the run to keep things dry there though. Plus they have to scratch for scratch and it keeps them busy. Not sure I will next year though. Other run has the coop cleanings that weren't to bad and it's drier. It did have a better covering though.

I didn't have heat for my chickens at all this winter and they did fine.the only thing I had to worry about was getting the eggs before they froze

Right now all I have down is some wood shavings and they are loving it

of course they were not happy with me from keeping them from there usual bedtime

was getting quite abit of the ol stinkeye last nite

i read somewhere that silkies dont do well in cold weather i recently got one and shes like my baby love her

! so im so afraid for next year if she will make it threw the winter i think i may add heat this year to the coop. it wasnt done so i had all my lovely ladies and handsome gent living in a room in my basement i think that actually liked it too! they are some spoiled chickens let me tell u lol

Scott said he'd mail the eggs on Wednesday so they should be here Fri or Sat. If your there call me when they come in. I will call too. Last time they let me pick them up there, but they didn't come in until the afternoon truck.

How many BR eggs you gettin? I don't know how many Scott is sending but at least a doz.
