Rancher, I know you were asking for a picture of cemani eggs so here's a quick one I snapped for you tonight. Emphasis on quick, because I had to take them out of the incubator to do it! They are the two tan ones next to what is, by weight, considered an extra large white egg (64 grams). Not bad considering these birds are silkie-sized.

Pyxis has incubated out a cracked egg before - I know because I have that hen and she is 2 years old !

Come on - crossing my fingers for the cracked egg - and this is fun because I actually want both roosters and hens - so the final percentage will all be fine with me!

Eggs will hit day 21 on Wednesday the 13th ... that seems a long way to go with a cracked shell .... Come on peepers !!!

Someone here, wanted SEbastabol goslings....I don't remember who, but I have 2 that are 3 weeks old available. White. $65 each. Both had female gray markings, but that isn't always 100% accurate, straight run.

Both sold.

Going fox hunting in the next few days!..Lost yet another one of my ducks to that bugger

..I'm sure that is what took it..I don't think that I would be as mad if it took one of the drakes, but it has taken 2 of my girls and now the boys out number the girls and they are getting the crap beat out of them by these boys...Guess I'm going to have to get rid of some of these boys a little sooner then I thought. I Should have gotten the bigger incubator!! Need to get cracking on hatching...

Went for a search and recovery mission this afternoon. I walked all around our 5 acres and about 5+more of the fields behind the house and didn't find any sign till I was on my way back to the path to our property..I prayed for a sign...something to show me that she was truly gone....Just out of the corner of my eye I found a feather in the woods in the back of our property...about 20 feet from the yard..Under a tree there were a few small bunches of feathers..Those few feathers are all that are left of my 2 girls.

..It is so on now!!!!

The chicks from Rancher are getting HUGE!!! 5 frizzles too!! That was one impressive rooster they are out of!!!

This little roo is my buddy! If you pick him up, he doesn't want to be put down...
