Thanks, Finny. I'm with your ducks and make frequent, but short, forays outside! I don't mind the snow. I just HATE the cold and wind. Would love to see pics of your duckies!
That sounds fun (Ladies Night with the horsey set)! I really do feel like I'm starting to lose my grip, too. February is definitely my cabin fever month. It's funny, because March is usually not a whole lot better, but I just have a different mind set and feel like once we've ripped the February page off the calendar, winter has been conquered. It's a state of mind (maybe denial, but it works for me)!
I didn't know we were in for more snow, but why am I not surprised! LOL! (Well, not really laughing...!) I have a neighbor looking in on my birds this wknd; I feel bad that someone else has to deal with the snow, cold and ice while taking care of MY birds. Ugh.
Thanks for the encouragement regarding our new dog. She is going to be a lot of work, but I'm hoping it will all pay off. She really is sweet.
Thx, Cooped Up Chick. I think they are particularly sweet, too, if they haven't been ruined by some jerk. This one loves to plop down on top of you...luckily, she's a smallish dog. She's not deaf...just try to touch her food dish quietly, haha!
What did you find to be the most challenging with your rescue? Good for you to take that challenge on as well. This pup tends to get over-the-top hyper with my older dog. He is not too excited about a new friend...at least not yet. Also, her bladder control is not great. She makes it outside most of the time, and we take her frequently, but some time she will only have been inside a half hour and pees. That's a bit worrisome. Last night she whined to go outside around midnight. I took her out ASAP and she had the squirts. So she was very good to let us know she needed OUT....a big mess avoided. Today her tummy is fine.
Thanks JWEBB! She is definitely all that!
