NY chicken lover!!!!

Kimmer Jo - Oh - sorry - I was working on my full coop and missed the word BROODER !!! Disregard - as that was for the big girl coop.

This summer has been so busy! I don't get on as much as I used to. I bought some school supplies for the older 2 girls this past week, even though I'm waiting for a letter from the school with teachers and supply list for my oldest. The kindergarten handed out a list at the prescreening. My coworker asked if I could believe Christmas was only 4 months away this week too. Time flies!

Gramma- My first hatch birds started laying this past week. They are the same age as the birds you got from me, so keep a look out for eggs!

Nice to hear from you Tab.

I see one looking like it is trying to find a place to lay ...& my Roo has mated her ..so I can tell she is maturing .
The other one the pretty one with stripes ..I am thinking might be a Roo ..I swear I see ROO tail feathers starting .

Barbie is a Bob I think ! So pretty ! I was hoping it was a hen ! the only pretty one I really have !

Gotta share this tip.

I'd gone to the $1 store looking for insoles for my boots. The originals had worn through and I was ripping holes in my socks. They didn't have insoles so I thought "I wonder if these (flip flops) will work? " So I bought a pair for a $1, cut off the strap part and tucked them in my boots. Fit just right. Nice and soft.

I have no doubt they'll last longer as insoles than as flip flops. The straps were easy to pull out.

Still there are some great bargains at the $1 store.

What brand boots you get mine just keep getting holes in them @rancher hicks

I got these at TSC I think. They're winter boots but I wear them slightly untied so I can just slip them on. I had clogs from there one year, but they didn't last me two months.

I like a low ankle clog for summer but if it's wet I need something taller. If it's really rainy and wet I wear knee high mucks.

I'm very hard on my boots. Even when I worked at the PO. I pound the heels right out of them. This is where the insole of my boots wore out.
