Very hard sad day today, I had to bring one of my goats to the vet to be euthanizedthe vet told me he is pretty sure she had barber pole worms and they were resistant to the wormer we use, the onset was![]()
very quick and she had "given up"this morning and there was nothing left to do but put her out of pain and suffering, the barn will not be the same without her. Her friends are all doing fine but really miss her needless to say we have changed our worming procedure
sorry youre feeling bad ...chickies do help dont they ..
Hello HISIRISHGEMI'm very sorry to hear your sick. I'm betting chicken therapy helps a great deal. My husband said he's specifically doing this for me. He said he's not interested in them. I'm willing to bet they'll be therapy for him as well. Our daughter will love them as will our foster kids. I hope we'll bless them as much as they'll bless our family. Get lots of that chicken therapy, I hope you feel have moments where you feel good too. I've heard CFIDS can not only be physically hard but emotionally as well. It helps to have our furry friends.
I am sorry you are losing your birds.Well i think i now have to put my little blanch to sleep. She started getting better and eating, but has recently slowed down eating as much and is hunching back down again
She is now stumbling when she walks and is weak again.
I noticed another easter egger (both came from same place)i also walking funny and has a lump in the front.
Why does it have to be the two that were my favorites??
Im thinking mareks and i can say at least i gave her a shot.
So i have to see how i can put her down peacefully to be oit of any pain.
A laying Hen or rooster is valued at $15.00..I am sorry to hear everyone is having a tough week so far with their chicks, goats and kitties...Chickens are amazing therapy. Hopefully, the rest of the week will turn around.
Has anyone been successful in recovering damages from loss from a neighbor dog attack? How do you place the value on your chickens?
Thanks~
