Page all reports are this IS NOT what the speech is about, it is about youth service corps. I find this very objectionable. If he would release the speech beforehand then we might know, but he seems to have a problem with transparency.

Ok, listening to people get annoyed about a president talking about education is kinda sad... all I can think of is for 8 years I had to listen to a president who couldn't read a simple cue card!!!!

I for one think our children should learn to sit and listen when our President addresses us. It used to be an important event and our family would sit and watch and listen and then discuss it. We weren't raised to be anti-government, and we were raised to respect our leaders. I haven't heard a thing about the President addressing school children but if he does I guarantee it will be on in my classroom and I'll invite the parents in to watch and listen and pay attention.

which is why he should post the text of the speech to let parents (and others who are just itching to complain) see it before the kids hear it.
