Yes, the bloom washes off easily with a sponge. She's out of a blue Ameraucana hen, rooster was a BC Marans out of champion laying stock.So you can wash the bloom off and it will be olive green?

I think they were, but not 100% sure. Her blooms definitely vary from day to day. Sometimes her eggs are almost purplish with a slight green undertone, sometimes they're olive green with purple speckles, and sometimes they're olive green with a slight purple hue.So were these eggs washed?
I had some lt brahma that had a purplish speckled bloom, the intensity of the purple varied from day to day...just as other tinted blooms I see.
Pigment in coating can vary also.
