October-hatch-along 2019

The good thing about my chickens is I have a laying flock that lay the fertile eggs. Then I hatch the eggs and have meat chickens. Of course I'll keep the pullets I love most, I might even make a free range flock with no fencing to see how they do.

Ah, I didn't know you're doing DP birds, me too! I'm doing Turken mixes due to summer heat here, but I have some mixed with Jersey Giant and some with Bresse, now I'm adding Dorking/Red Ranger to the mix as well.

We have dual purpose ducks and chickens... It's our first time doing them so it's a bit nerve-wracking. We picked the most meaty breeds we have for egg collecting.

I've thought about ducks but probably not. Working on hubs for a couple of rabbits though, just for poop for the garden not eating.
 
I gave Floof and Frosty to one on my broody mamas and it’s going well!!!! Just put my next batch in.
