LOL Congratulations Gardengirl!
I am setting first thing on Sunday morning. My Olive Eggers arrived late this afternoon so I am going to let them rest overnight. This will be an interesting group of babies for me!

I was told the other day that my green eggs are very nice and that when people find out I have them, they will be waiting in line. Not her exact words but similar. I knew they where pretty eggs but to hear it from somebody else is nice. Unfortunately, they are very unreliable layers. I'm hoping to hatch out some of their eggs and get better layers. I read that EE's are suppose to lay year round. Well, my EE's need to read the same artical because they aren't aware of this rule. I haven't gotten an egg in 3 days. The last time I did I got 3 in one day. I have 5 hens. All old enough to lay. One is the mother to the other 4 that are last falls chicks. My white one just don't lay eggs. She laid a few in spring and that's been it. I want to get some more eggs out of them but unless they get regular, they are getting sold. Two of them are very friendly and one wants to be a broody hen but not all the time. I thought she did it but 3 days later she changedher mind and wanted to be with her flock. But when she ws let out again she tried to get to her eggs, which I had already put in the bator.
