Our guineas are acting strangely. They were free-ranging yesterday and come in at night. This morning They did not want to come out of the coop. Or even go into the Run. They were huddled in the corner. At first we thought it was a hen going broody because she had a few eggs there, but it is all half-dozen guineas. They are a year old and have never done this before. They did eat anything weird that we noticed. They look "off". They will usually allow you to get close to them but not pick them up but now they will not even scary away if we attempt to pick them up. Which we haven't because we don't know what's going on yet and don't want to stress them out anymore. There are no obvious signs of wounds. No blood etc.; nothing obvious physically.

Welcome to BYC!
They may be afraid of something that attempted to get in coop last night, or may not be well--such as getting into something toxic while free ranging.
Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Ohh. We suspected it may have been a predator. During the afternoon I saw a raccoon cross the street and assumed it was because he saw them free-ranging. Maybe it tried to get into the coup last night. I hope that's all it is. Do they usually recover in a few days? They have walked around a bit and two are now in the Run laying down but acting so weird.
