Odd Large Silkie Egg!

I've also never heard of a 50 pound turkey
Our Breasted Bronze are 7 months old, & ready for processing soon. We don't have a scale to weigh them, but have to estimate their weight by lifting them. I can't lift a 50lbs bag of chicken feed, & I certainly can't lift the turkeys.

Probably is turkey - you should see the size of their whole chicken here. I think they are just eager to cull and sell instead of putting the effort in to produce a 'real' bird.
Yeah. I find that strange.
Would you like to see my project Orpington thread?

Yeah, I know here they use meat bird hybrids and cull at 6 weeks. And with the 'whole turkey' I can see one site offering them in a range from 6-33lb. I've never seen one that big in the stores here.
Our store bought turkeys range from 15-25lbs, occasionally we see them at 32lbs.

I think the largest I've seen here was around 10lb in the store - clearly you can order larger, but as mentioned they're very pricey too. Just found an add for one - 8lb bird for $50US
That's an expensive bird.

Will it fit in the oven.....or will you part them out?
It'll fit. Last one we got barely fitted in the roaster.

I believe one of our Turkey's might of stepped on the silkie to cause the internally cracked egg.
