Odd shaped egg

I just wanted to share this odd shaped egg I got yesterday. It is kinda shaped like a minion...just the color is off. It doesn't really show in the picture but it is almost flat on both sides, top and bottom. It is heavier than regular eggs, so I'm wondering if it might be a double yolker.

Will be interesting to know if this continues, or was just a one off glitch.

Shell was normal thickness all around?
Looks 'slab sided' as well as darn near 'square'.

Yes slab sided, but never seen one "square-ish".

There’s a first for everything.

You’re going to have a hard time fitting that square peg in the round hole (the carton.)

Thank you for the link!! The egg was perfectly round...only top and bottom kinda squared with no visable pointy side. It was her first egg that was misshapened like that. All other eggs have always been fine. I have had some without shell in that group...some double yolkers. But never that!

That looks like a fertile egg. Do you have roosters? I photo of that bullseye compared to an unfertile one could really help all the people who wonder about their eggs.

It's a chicken egg? I have a chicken that tends to give double-yolk egg, her eggs are bigger but never that shape. What breed is your chicken?

yes, it's a chicken egg. I have Sulmtaler chickens. She is one year old. I have never seen an egg like this before.

Yeah me either... Pretty chicken though

It was a large egg yolk, but nothing unusual. The shell was normal. It was just the odd shape.
