Actually, NPIP only certifies that the flock does not currently have Pullorum or Typhoid, not that they are healthy. It was created to protect the food supply many years ago, not for backyard flocks. Hatcheries are usually NPIP, but that doesn't mean they are mycoplasma-free at all, which is one of the most common diseases of backyard flocks. It has limited use for backyard flocks, IMO. Only the person raising the birds can be certified, not the distributor, like Tractor Supply or Atwood's.

Thank you!!!

X2!

Good afternoon everyone! Took me a while to get over to BYC today.

I have to laugh that you guys are talking about coats and I was sitting in 99 degree heat at lunch time. I can handle the heat better than I can the idiot coworker. As far as winter goes I have a light red zip up sweatshirt anything more than that and I'll die from heatstroke LOL, and the idiot coworker puts the heat up to 82 degrees because her delicate (snarck lol) little body cant handle the 50 degrees we have in December. Which make absolutely no sense because right now they have the air conditioning set at 64, stupid idiot coworker!

I had leftover BBQ chicken, rizzoto and cucumber tomato salad. Chased it with a kit kat bar.

Algae ((HUG))

Sparkles I want your batteries!

and no I did not go back and read all the posts from over the weekend, ya'll talk to much LOL.

According to the mirror on my desk I just sat in a meeting with a client for an hour with glitter on my lip.... so much for being stern.

Would most places selling chickens use this? Like Atwoods or Orshlands?

so my mom's youngest sister had surgey 2 weeks ago to lift her bladder??? something to do with less trips to the potty at night. ANYWAYS they nicked her colon. TWICE. Now that they caught it they had to reverse the original surgery, remove 8 inches of colon, and she's now spiraling down so fast I feel like there isnt even time for the parachute to open. They are afraid shes going to have a heart attack her pulse is so fast and her oxygen is only at like 71%. I think she should get rich off a lawsuit...if she can pull thru.
