You need to find out exactly how the new ordinance is worded, and where it is placed in city code. You may well be protected by grandfathering rights (or not) depending on how they did things. Find out what laws, if any, your state has about grandfathering. Also check to see if the new ordinance was properly noticed before being passed. I donlt have time to go back and re-read this hwole thread, but didn't the court require them to work with you or at least keep you informed in creating an ordinance? If not properly noticed, it is legally invalid, but you now know exactly what you will need to fight. Good luck and keep us posted.
