My BR is starting her molt but nothing drastic yet...

This is my (non frizzle) black Australorp, Jasmine. She’s 3, almost 4 years old.

My one Amberlink hen, she's molted the worst so far and the only one that's noticeable. Even her underside looks the same. She started about 3 weeks ago when I was going through something very stressful. She's one of my 3yr olds.

My Buff Orpington, Nugget. She's my "special" chicken. She was a failure to thrive that we helped pull through. She has a fat comb, lopsided wattles, walks in circles, and now this.. Oh well, at least she's a good layer, and easy to catch.

They can't lay when they are molting it takes all they have to build feathers same with a rooster when they molt

So, roosters stop laying during a moult too? Who knew!
