View attachment 2824806I’m honestly not sure if Mari started her first molt early, or if she just developed male-pattern baldness, but she looks like a vulture. The saddle was shielding her poor naked back from the sun, but I took it off today in case she really is starting her molt. My poor flock got overtreaded by a nasty rooster this summer

Wow.... She still looks nice, but I guess the saddle does her photo justice.
How funny, we have a hen named Mari! A blue Andalusian!

Another girl started her molt. Not as bad, but you can see her chicken wings!

Same EE girl as last time, dropped some more feathers but its all starting to grow back already. Not nearly as naked as my first girl! (Or a couple of the other entries on here )
