Welcome to the Official BYC Mini-Contest
Thanksgiving Side Dishes!
Ends on November 30th, 2022

Ah, Thanksgiving. The time of year when we gather together with friends and family to relax, have some fun, and of course, ruin our diets. Many folks have special holiday meal traditions that have been passed down over time, and we'd like to know about what ends up on the table at your Thanksgiving meal. Specifically:

What's your Favorite Thanksgiving side dish?

Whether it's Granny's secret recipe stuffing, homemade rolls or biscuits, Uncle Jimmy's famous BBQ Brisket beans, or anything in between, what's something that's a "must-have" when you sit down to your Thanksgiving meal?

Winners of this contest will be determined by a panel of judges. The judges will be VERY HUNGRY, so give them your best pics and make them jealous of your delicious side dishes for a chance to win!

There will be at least 5 winners, and each will receive a copy of the beautiful BYC 2023 Calendar!
The calendar is available to winners that reside in the United States. Winners outside the United State will be awarded a 1-month PFM.

How to enter:
It's easy to enter, just reply to this thread with pictures of your mouth-watering side dishes.

To increase your chances of winning, please read the rules before entering.

Rules:
  1. Entries must be homemade by the member posting.
  2. A photograph of the ingredients plus a photograph of the finished product is required.
  3. Tell us WHY this side dish is important to you (family tradition, funny story, etc...) A sentence or 2 is fine, if you need more to explain, that's even better. Extra consideration for a good story may be given.
  4. A member can have up four entries (only one entry per post please).
  5. The picture needs to have been taken by you
  6. Images that have been resized might be disqualified if they are too small to judge.
  7. No screenshots, watermarks, date stamps, text, etc. on the picture. No collages.
  8. High-quality images are recommended. Basic editing such as cropping and other subtle changes are allowed.
  9. ALL pictures MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.
  10. Prizes are limited to one per person per contest. You may not use a photo that won an award in another BYC-sponsored contest.
  11. All BYC rules apply - Terms of Service (Rules)
  12. Entries will be accepted until November 30, 2022, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

The judges have finished judging (and gorging). After careful consideration, and a bit of time to recover from their post-meal food coma, we have our winners!
@HopKat, @room onthebroom, @MACCanadianCoop, @ChickenGirl300, @SueT & @muddy75

@HopKat - Deviled Quail Eggs
Entry #1
Deviled Quail Eggs.
Regular size deviled eggs are a standard item at all of our family gatherings. My break with tradition this year was fun but it was decided that we would return to the full size version next time. Size does matter in deviled eggs!
