It gets nasty in there when I do the deep clean, so I always wear a mask when I do. I understand some folks get all antsy-in-the-pantsy trying to breathe in them but luckily masks don't bother me.

I have never worn a mask, I work up a good sweat and a mask makes it worse and fogs up my glasses.View attachment 3746024
We all know how much dust those birds can create, so I'm just wondering who wears some kind of respiratory protection when they are in and around the coop - and when!

The way our coop is designed I am done in less than 10 minutes. I only step in once for a moment to sprinkle the deodorizer after I am done. So, I feel like I don't need to wear a mask and so far I have no ill effects from it.View attachment 3746024

Hello! I've never even thought about it! I do know diatomaceous earth I hold my breath when using it until it settles but I didn't think about other potential hazards that get scuffed around when cleaning the coop.View attachment 3746024
