At first, we ordered online, but during the pandemic, prices are cheaper at TSC. I'm working with my local feed store for feed going forward, now that my chicks are hatched and a) I'll need twice the feed and b) I can go back to 16% (feed store didn't have 18% feed used while collecting hatching eggs).

I sometimes get the feed at Rural King - they also have the best price in black oil sunflower for wild birds . They are a 1 1/2 hour trip so I need to have a few things planned . TSC 25 minute ride ,just like grocery store so I hit both together :) Cats get human canned tuna ,chicken, salmon etc ....... “cat food “ is so bad for them . I save $ in the long run with no vet billls for urinary issues diabetic problems etc ......

I just checked prices at Tractor Supply. The cheapest 50lb bag of layer feed is $15 bucks. That’s $4 higher than the $11 a bag for MG layer crumble I get at the nearest feed store to my house and that price has remained consistent over the past 2 years. I don’t get all these folks in previous comments saying that TSC has better prices or is somehow a better value. I’m not talking about “support your local business” or anything like that. Straight-up, the local feed store beats TSC on prices for everything and by a wide margin, at least in my part of Texas.
