any recommendations on cleaning them while it is winter in our area

I like to put mine in a mason jar, fill it with water and add however much sea salt I feel the need to add. Then I stick them in my kitchen window from full moon to full moon.

Chickie'sMoma :

i'm waiting for my dh to ask me why all of a sudden the crystals have come back out again. i will admit it, i haven't had much time or been feeling a whole lot of energy to think about them. i want to help get myself motivated again and this is a helpful start! and i always felt having them around helped me to sleep better. since they've been locked up i haven't felt them give off their energy as much.

i'll have to remember to use the sage sometime. i'll need to get a good supply growing in the yard along with all my other herbs too! we've only owned our house for two years now and i still haven't figured out how i want to partition off the yard for growing areas. the only thing i have a good supply of is mints and weeds (or chicken treats if you want to call them that)

You can substitute the sage for alot of other things as well.. Tobacco, rosemary, bay leaves (Which I love as they are a natural psychic conductor), even store bought sage is good..

I have done this too .. I like the power it gets from allowing it to cycle with the moon..

tobacco will be growing this year in the garden, even though the dh smokes the natural cigars i don't think that would work. i think i will use the water, salt and moon method. it seem appropriate since i seem to be a night owl and affected by the moon. i even have a huge stained glass piece i made many years ago that has the moon and the rays in it. it just happens to take up most of the bottom half of my kitchen window.

Holy cow! Only 8 or 9 books? Wow! Ours has like 8 or 9 shelves...honestly. But, I live in California, so maybe that is why.

Check out their website or Amazon. I think B&N will ship to their stores for free (for pick-up) and Amazon will ship for free on pruchases of $25 or more (and their books are cheaper).

Good luck in your reading! If you get the chance, check out a book (maybe library too?) on other pagan paths as well...there are so many wonderful paths to read about!

You should've heard him on the phone "Love Charms for Teen Witches.... Girly what the heck?". I sent him the websites for a few online stores with more uh.... "meaty" offerings.

Good thing he called you!

I was sorta confused by the lack of the selection. I figured B&N would have had enough there but I guess not. Saddina, I found lots of good stuff at pyramid but didn't see a whole lot of books? Maybe I was looking in the wrong area of the site.
