Warlock is gaelic for " oath breaker " so it is no wonder that male witches bristle when called that. A male witch is just that, a witch )

Blessed Ostara everyone!

I am sitting at the laundry mat very bored, so I thought I would see what all my witchy friends are doing. I have the most recent copy of Mother Earth News, Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens, Garden Witch's Herbal by Ellen Dugan ( I really like her) and my hubby's laptop and someone who is awesome enough to have an unsecured wifi access. You would think I would be all set, but na.. nothing sounds good. Anyone up?

ETA

All night laundry mats have the most frightening bathrooms.

Hope everyone had a Blessed Ostara.... Wow I love seeing new faces here everyday, its awesome that almost every page has somone new on it.... Nicola and Jackrooster Welcome!!!! Jackrooster its great that you are interested in PAganism, definitly read through the other pages as you will have tons of questions answered there.. Nicola I commend you for wanting to understand better what your Mum and Aunt beleive, I am sure they are very happy and proud that you would take that time for them...

We had a great Ostara...Down to the farm so the kids could visit grandma, then they went to visit their only living great grandma.
So the day was spent making elderly happy. My wife and I absolutely love the energy and wisdom of the elderly. We prioritize visiting those that will not be with us that long.

I have never used the word Ostara. But the equinox has always been important for me. Not so much the actual date, as it is a bit anti climatic for me. Ostara for me really starts in late February early March when the warmth of the sun becomes noticeable and the length of daylight starts to increase rapidly. Of course it is the time of the year to collect the sweet sap of the sugar maple!!!

Thank you all again for your inputs and wisdom on helping me understand the the term warlock...
