My point to this is you cannot tell much by legs alone to determine Cuckoo Marans or Barred rock.


I promise you there is nothing other than barred rock and/or Cuckoo maran in these pictures.


I am just saying to me they looked like they could very well be cuckoo marans. I do not claim to know more than anyone else. It would be hard in real life to tell the difference for me between some barred rock and some cuckoo marans. I would never do it based simply on leg color in pictures. IPhone or other phone cameras do a terrible job on subtle color differences. IMHO.

I still say Cuckoo Marans most likely.

I'm not great with chicken breeds, but I'm guessing 1???????? Pics. are kinda blury.

i belieive cuckoo marans have a whiter "barred" pattern, more black that white.
