People now a days

A neighbor has one of those outdoor contraptions (stoves, furnace, wood burners, I've heard several different things people call them) that you burn wood or coal in to heat your home and or water (many can be rigged up to your hot water heater the same way as your furnace to heat your water like your home) and he gets most of his wood from a saw mill and he thinks the same as yourself, he gets all the wood he wants all summer long at a lower price because most people are lazy or foolish (I guess some may not have space to store much) because they can't hardly give it away in warmer months and can way overcharge when the snow flies because they sell out quick on their scrap wood.

That's how we heat our house (with a wood furnace). The sooner we get the wood the better.

Everyone stocks up on firewood in the summer, don't they? That way it's nice and dry and you can stack it nice and dry. You don't want to be carting it about in the rain and letting it get wet. What am I missing?

as I said in my previous post unless you've just moved or have storage issues for stockpileing fire wood most people are stupid, saw mill lumber is usually dryer than fresh cut wood but still can be cured (dried longer) for better burning. I've known some people whom cover their firewood all summer and that seams silly to me because your holding in the moisture in the wood at a higher rate in my opinion than the rain you are preventing from getting in the pile. covering of a late fall and over the winter is different.

Anyone else think the BRs look masculine......?
Chickens, Laying and Meat - $10

I have a few Plymouth Rock and Buff Orpington chickens that are about 14 months old. They are brown egg layers and are laying good. I also have some Cornish'Rock cross meat birds. These are similar to the Cornish game hens that are sold in the grocery store. They are $8.00 each.

Nah, I think males have more white between the bars. Plus if they're 14 months old, laying, and not crowing, I doubt it lol
