Oh no, I have made a BIG mistake. HELP

If you want to give Baytril, the most common dose recommended by veterinarians seems to be 10 mg/kg (4.54 mg per pound) twice a day orally.

Isn't that a parasite that causes them to do that? Gapeworm? Have you checked for those or are you 100% sure it's a respiratory disease?
I'm new to the thread so my apologies if I misread something :fl

I though it went in the water the last time I used it. I am going sit right here and lose every one of them.

It is always better to dose a bird straight to the beak.
Dosing in the water is not accurate and you will never know how much medicine the bird gets.

You mention you have another bird that is now getting sick too.
Are you familiar with chicken diseases?
They spread fairly easily.
You most likely are just treating symptoms to make the bird feel better.
The illness doesn't usually go away...ever.

I remember my first time when my chickens all got coccidia, I cried and thought I'd lose them all.
You can get through this, it's okay. We are all here, you're taking very good care of them. You love them and that's what matters. It's stressful at first, but it all gets better with experience, I promise!

I took a stool specimen to the vet to have it checked and he said there was some coccodia but he didn’t mention worms. I called him back and asked them and they said he would call me back but he never did. My daughter said if there were any worms he would have told me when he called the first time. So I don’t know

Did you treat your flock with a full round of treatment with Corid for the coccidia?

According to my quick google search, gapeworm eggs should appear in the stool sample. So since he didn't say anything I don't think they have gapeworms. Unfortunately I've never dealt with a respiratory issue in chickens, I don't have much advice. These BYC members are very knowledgeable so keep listening to them :hugs

Well I don’t know. She has been roosting more today and has a cough. But this other chick has been sick for at least 2 weeks. Don’t you think she would have caught it before now? I am so done in with this. It CANT be hood to be treating them with first one med then another. It has to be harmful on her gut and good flora. This has been a terrible experience because I am flying blind. I don’t have the money for a big vet bill, I just don’t. I just spent $500 on my cat. I am not able to enjoy these chickens because I am consumed with worry and watching their behavior microscopically
