does anyone have light Sussex?

Sunnyside Up Micro Farm in NW Ohio has some really beautiful Light Sussex. I have met them at chicken shows and they were very nice to deal with. I had ordered LS eggs from them but had a 0% hatch but was totally my fault.

(and if there was one with a shotgun id use it too) something killed my last pair of golden cuckoo marans. and- im down to one rhodebar hen - no roosters. im going to spend the night hunting. it has me baffled because whatever it was just broke their necks, i cannot find the first puncture wound.

if anyone has an extra rhodebar rooster, let me know along with price.

I don't see how anything can get yours, which coop were they in? I know we have something getting only the little ones during the day one day so I been keeping a closer eye on them.

they were in one of my outside pens, against the front of the newest barn. whatever it was passed 12 other pens of chickens i could have replaced much easier.

Do you have somEone in mind that could have done this? honestly it doesn't sound like an animal. an animal wouldn't pick out just that pair. I sure hope you find who did it. if you can afford to I'd put up surveillance cameras, in case they come back. I'd watch out no matter what it might be.

I am probably guessing that this was a human also. I had this happen once to a pekin duck and it was a snake. It broke her neck and then left her when it realized it couldn't eat her. He left no puncture wounds or anything on her. She was just dead that morning and then I picked her up and her neck was broken.

ETA:Game cams make great surveillance cameras. Fairly easy to hide too plus they only run when they pick up motion.
