the work never ends when your starting something like this.... i was always forced to work as a kid, i hated it then. but i look at the kids who played video games all the time when we were younger and i see how they dont know how to do anything. heck, my son in law couldnt put oil in his car!

im glad to see your kids getting involved in the chickens. i hope they never have to rely on their chicken raising knowledge, but its always good to have.

. This is the reason people come into my work and ask for either A:someone older or B:a guy to help them with blah blah blah. I'll send them to the least knowledgable employee there and see how quickly they come running back to me for help. Lol.

that's another thing, just because you're a woman does not make you ignorant to "men's jobs". a for instance, that woman who works at buckey transmissions- she knows more about cars than most men. the best lumber stacker i ever witnessed on a sawmill was a woman.

guys can wash dishes, and women can build sky scrapers. both might get laughed at, but it can be done!

With the frizzle showgirls I ordered I am getting 2 lav am eggs. I got to pick 16 and they only had 14 showgirls. So if they hatch you want them?

Silkies do come in calico! They're a project color. I use to have a calico roo but he was sold along with the others to bethel Ohio. He was an oopsie that popped up from a cuckoo pen.

I so want some. How would you get that? I have a calico sizzle hen. What would I breed her with?

im lost on this one, i know pretty much nothing about the calico coloration.

my friend who i trade chickens with came by today. he brought me one Ff frizzle black cochin, and a regular black cochin (both bantams) a russian orloff rooster and 3 hens, and a pair of salmon faverolles. in return he took an extra lemon cuckoo orp hen i had, 2 lavender silkies (split gene), an extra millie fleure rooster, and a blue splash cochin hen.

im trying to make room and still end up with more chickens than i began with LOL.

he also is sending me another dozen breeda eggs, a dozen rhodebar eggs, and some double laced golden brahma eggs.

im going to have to go to the swap to make some room!!!!

Double laced golden Brahmas ?
