OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Oh yes I am. I got yelled at today for all the babies in the garage and how they are making a mess. My comeback was that something ran off with two of the boy ccls, I've been letting them free range during the day. Never had an issue before but now I'm down to 3 boys with yours. I was attacked by our pogirl roo today. So he will be gone REAL soon. If I could have found something sharp it would have been today. So after your 6 and 4 to freezer camp it makes it even for the polish and the leghorns. The 2 missing Roos will be made up by the new ones hopefully. Oh, and I have a broody right now that we stuck two extra eggs under, we are going to sneak some more. Add the showgirls n choc silkies ill be about 50 or so. My limit was 25.
6? Thought ti was 4 CCL and a choc pullet? I'm confused...did I say I'd take something else and forget about it?

do you want to come over and pick out a pair, or do you want me to bring one to the swap?
Hmmm, I'd say just bring them to the swap. Just something decent, doesnt have to be your best but prefer no dq's in case a little girl around here claims them as her show birds (like she does with most of my stuff).

i have 3 descent extra cockerels, ill look at the bodies, combs and leg feathers and take a picture for you tomorrow. the hens are from a hatchery, i kept 2 roosters and 4 hens from 35 straight run (40 with 5 loss) the quality isnt bad, but could be better. they should show well in small shows, but i wouldnt try to take them to the nationals.

Eh, she claims them for 4-H shows. Hey, it's a start! I can always improve on them. I'd rather buy live local birds than hatch something, grow it, and it be crap.

mlaff, havent seen you much lately.
Hi Brian. :) my life has just been a nasty mess. I dropped a class because in one week I'd be up for 38 hours without sleep and then a couple days later over 24 hours. So then I was put on academic probation. My husband flew to GA to see his great grandpa because he was put on hospice ( so I had the kids and work), Thursday he left for the funeral with 3 kids and I had to admit my 10 yr old to the hospital and stayed. Hopefully I can get her out tomorrow morning and get everything ready for her to be homeschooled.

On a side note, my BLRW chicks from foley lines are looking like 7 pullets and 1 cockerel. Mildly disappointed as 2of those pullets have single combs. Guess I'll just put them in the layer pen.

Quote: sorry to hear your having troubles, it seems like everything crashes down all at once. reminds me of an old saying:

one day when i was feeling down, a voice came out of the gloom. it said "cheer up, things could get worse". so i cheered up and sure enough things got worse!

i hope your daughter is ok, it scares us to death when our kids are sick.
