Hi mini! Yup, setting eggs tonight for the swap! Hoping for 20+ chicks, but some of these eggs are from my new black roo so I'm not sure what the fertility will be on this group. I will set more after Labor Day if he has more empty than not. Also some partridge from my tried and true, gorgeous partridge roo. I also plan on bringing a few youngsters - partridge pullets and maybe a parti hen or two. I was blessed with a plethora of parti pullets this year, so I'm happy to share!

Still trying to get those pix...so sorry! I have two of one of my darling black, Catdance hens where her head is conveniently stuck in the grass...OY! She does have a pretty fluffy butt!

Lol. Gotta love the personality of silkies. I'm looking for 10 or so chicks probably. I'm really only looking for black but may go for older birds of other colors. Parti color? What's that? Hadn't heard that one before.

nm, it just dawned on me you were shortening patridge. I hate working Sundays, it screws me all up and stuff like this happens. LOL

I do not remember who wanted to know information on how TSC plans and organizes their swaps but I forgot to post what I found out. It is 100% at the discretion of the store and assistant manager. There is no insurance forms or nothing to do. All you do is call the store or better go in and talk to the main manager or assistant and see if they would be interested in hosting it in their parking lot. We are doing one in Maysville next weekend. Anyone can bring any kind of animal or craft or garden items and set up to sell/swap in our lot or come out to look and buy. Hope that helps those of you who were interested!

If you happen to know what you might be bringing or have a idea please let me know. I will be making a craigslist and I will have my dad call on Dial a Deal and I will make a post on my face book page as well.

If you need the address again its 16776 Bodman Rd Mount Orab Oh 45154 there is a corn field across from me and a big sign at the end of our driveway that says Kennedy/Fetters with a mustang ally sign too.

If you happen to have a extra surge protector and extension cord it might be a good idea to bring that if you need electric we will figure it out =)

You are such a enabler of chicken math. I tried to resist after I got your txt but it didn't work. Lol cross your fingers because I also have 14 silkie/showgirl frizzle eggs on the way as well as 2 lav orps. Oh my I may be killed very shortly. Hahaha.

Never. Then I saw showgirls and I had to have those. Lol oh my. With 4 new ones I just hatched, all the babies waiting for the big coop, the polish from you, and my Millie leghorns I will be in some real trouble soon. Lol eggs have become my new retail therapy. Not good with what I already have. Especially since I can't make the swap.

Lol, you can always post your extras on craigslist. That's what I typically do with the free Roos! I've got 4of the 5 black split to choc boys left. One died a few days after hatching. I removed their guinea friends and out them in a different brooder, while the guinea are upset the chicks seem thrilled! I've got close to 150 chickens and ducks right now. I don't think you're as bad off as me yet! You're on your merry little way though!
