my friend who i trade chickens with came by today. he brought me one Ff frizzle black cochin, and a regular black cochin (both bantams) a russian orloff rooster and 3 hens, and a pair of salmon faverolles. in return he took an extra lemon cuckoo orp hen i had, 2 lavender silkies (split gene), an extra millie fleure rooster, and a blue splash cochin hen.

im trying to make room and still end up with more chickens than i began with LOL.

he also is sending me another dozen breeda eggs, a dozen rhodebar eggs, and some double laced golden brahma eggs.

im going to have to go to the swap to make some room!!!!

no they weren't a matched pair. one is a replacement for one i lost to heat stroke, the other was one he brought me to experiment with the frizzle gene. the millie fleure was a d'uccle. but he did tell me when he can sort me out a trio of calico cochins he will bring me some.

i cant think of anyone with millie fleure cochins. with the calico (or maybe a red) i think i could create them in 2 generations. thats a project for next year though (if i get them in time ill try to get one generation out of the way this winter).

Oh yes I am. I got yelled at today for all the babies in the garage and how they are making a mess. My comeback was that something ran off with two of the boy ccls, I've been letting them free range during the day. Never had an issue before but now I'm down to 3 boys with yours. I was attacked by our pogirl roo today. So he will be gone REAL soon. If I could have found something sharp it would have been today. So after your 6 and 4 to freezer camp it makes it even for the polish and the leghorns. The 2 missing Roos will be made up by the new ones hopefully. Oh, and I have a broody right now that we stuck two extra eggs under, we are going to sneak some more. Add the showgirls n choc silkies ill be about 50 or so. My limit was 25.
