Love it! I'm about ready to get Hubs out of bed to show him it can be done! LOL Seriously tho, it looks great. Can't wait to see finished pictures. What are the dimensions? Looks about the size I want for our main coop. Thanks! Our coop is almost done! Tomorrow I should be able to add COMPLETED pictures(well, sans the nest boxes)!

Anybody have any nice buff orps on this thread? I have a friend that is looking for some for her own use. They don't have to be show quality for breeding or anything but prefer a good size.
Two of my SPPR are probably due to slow down but the other two should be in their prime. Our RIRs are dependable layers and I'm not sure what age our Speckled Sussex are as I got them at an auction. Two have a good amount of white on them so have probably gone through two molts but the other two are definitely younger. We (stupidly) bought show chickens in hopes my son would want to show but that remains to be seen. That being said, we were getting 5-6 daily out of the 10 before the Winter slow down.
I have a friend whose father loves chickens and will take my older girls as pets and spoil them for the rest of their lives so I won't feel bad about sending them on but I don't want to before their time either. Frustrating.
We did up the protein content in their food thinking that might help (they're getting roughly 18% now) but nothing has changed.
Suggestions?
I've got 5 hens that are of laying age and they have been laying 4 eggs a day for the last month or so. Most days I get 5 eggs but somedays I have one or the other that doesn't lay for some reason, it's not always the same one.Curious how everyone's hens are laying now that we are getting more daylight. Mine are seriously dragging their tail feathers. 0-2 daily from 10 hens and one of those is always a RIR egg and we only have 2 of them. Is it time for the Happy Hen Retirement Home or should I still be waiting it out?
