OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

chocolate is tricky to breed though. at least from what I have read. of course I mess with lemon cuckoo and fawns here, its all basically the same, just have to practice and keep track.

I don't have silver ameraucanas so im not 100% sure of their breeding. do you know what they used to breed with the araucanas to create them?

am I picturing them right, white head or gray head. darker gray on the back, salmon chest, going to white in the stomach?

Here is a pic if my 8 week old.

Here is a gang of some of my partridge silkie babies enjoying "recess" between the rain showers. This cracked me up 'cuz they ALL had to try to eat from the same clump of grass...such cuties!

The count for this morning is 5 ccl out, 2 eggs pipped, and 2 zipping. Hatch day is tomorrow morning for these guys. By the end of the day I'm hoping for 9 little ccl in the brooder, if not all 12.:D

Hm. Interesting. My EE looks just like that silver ameraucana pic, she just has a dark head. I've never seen another colored like her.

Yay, mlaff! I hope they all make it. :D

Well my afternoon update is 2 more out for a total of 7 ccl, 2 zipping, and for sure 2 more pips. Looks like ill have 11 new ccl. I'm switching to my computer to post pictures. I know one for sure is female but just wanna check and make sure I have bad luck and the rest are male. Lol but ill take it with almost 100% hatch rate the date before hatch day.
