they could have a call duck dad. snowy bred over grey will make all grey babies that carry the snowy gene. I think it is actually called the Harlequin gene, that is what makes a snowy a snowy. A snowy is basically a grey duck with 2 copies of the Harlequin gene.@minihorse927![]()
Just about nothing cuter on earth than a call duckling.
Speaking of which, these adorable triplets hatched yesterday! The fourth egg fell victim to the Brinsea in lockdown, sadly. Never a fun eggtopsy. They're bantam-sizedlove) but my only calls are the snowies from you, so mommy must be my only Mallard, at least? Daddy could be a call, though. I'm in looove.
(Pardon the mess of eggshell, down, and newborn duckling poo..)

Yes, just a few miles away, really close to the black bear sighting grrrr
I sure understand the kiddie pool thing. I wish Lucasville swap days was like it used to be and not a giant flea market. When I was little my grandpa would take me there with him and it was all about the animals and litteraly swap, trade or sell. It was exciting and I was just a little kid. I can remember him trying to find what we know as Easter Eggers so I could see green and blue eggs but never did before he died. I now have 5 EE that are 5 weeks old. I can't wait. He would be so amazed at how far chicken raising has come
