OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Hello Fellow Chicken Lovers, I realize this is an old post, but I didn't know where to start. I just recently bought a home in Cuyahoga Falls, on a zone r-4 (7,000 s.f lot), and I want to own chickens. Any information on the where to find the ordinance or how to get a petition going again? I am trying to search for groups that have perhaps already started this movement and I would like to join in, or if there is none yet, perhaps one can be started?? TIA.

Start here, search for terms like chicken, poultry, coop, rooster, etc.

Hello!
I'm in NE Ohio and just found this thread. My flock of 10 is a mixed flock. I don't breed or hatch just have them for eggs and chicken therapy.

My flock of 10 is a mixed flock as well. I would say i have them for eggs as well but at 15 weeks no one is laying yet :-(
I love watching them run around the yard and play. It is way more relaxing than i ever thought it would be!

They are accompanied here by the chicken whisperer. She is almost 5 and loves them sooo much!

Hey all! I am about 30 miles west of Cleveland. I just have a small flock of 6. 3 silver laced wyandottes and 3 easter eggers. A few weeks ago, one of the ee's started crowing, had a bad feeling about him from the beginning, so now I have to take him to the family farm in PA. He is really pretty but I can't have roosters where I live.

Wow! What a nice coop. Was is a kit or an independent creation. Good luck with the rooster!

I just called my local township where i am located and asked. They were super helpful and had all the info i needed to know about starting our goat and chicken endeavors. Technically i am in the country so there are not a whole lot of regulations. But calling can get you some answer faster than online IMO. Good luck!!
