Ohmygod no...missing duck. :(

I can't imagine what you are going through right now - all I can say is that I hope she is OK and that she will return home VERY SOON - I will be thinking positive thoughts for you!

Oh it's obvious he was up to no good. Neighbor said he clearly believed the guy was headed toward my ducks. And the guy left immediately after, and has not been seen again. But it doesn't mean he didn't come back. So yeah, now I'm worried she may have been stolen. If she doesn't turn back up I am going to see about filing some report although I doubt anything can be done about it.

Neighbor describes him as an average looking guy in his forties. Neighbor believes he lives close though, because he was not in a vehicle, he was on foot. And this was earlier in the week.

Coincidence? Maybe....

So that's one more option to add to the list, and it's making me feel worse.

I sure hope she just shows up, but now I'm really worried...

I will. If she does not show up by tonight I'm getting in my car and crawling the neighborhood. If there's a chance she was stolen, do you think there's any hope of getting her back? Anyone here had birds stolen before?

If a guy stole my dogs (which i love like how you love your duck) i would pull out my rifle and shoot him because if somebody would go after my dogs i would do something quick if i were you i would try to get a local policeman and search the neighborhood with him and go door to door with him and yup just try that because the police would take a while well try to take your neighbor who saw him and would know who what he looked like just try what ever you can i hope you find him i would help if i lived close good luck

Human tracks would have been easier to look over though, as my daughter was out there already and had made tracks. I'm not sure I would have noticed the difference in the two, especially because I never even THOUGHT to look for people tracks. The only animal tracks I found were rabbit tracks and they were no where near the coop.

Who knows? This whole thing has been so crazy. How does a bird just VANISH like that?
