Okay how to put this................

Did you SEE your dog snatch it from the air or a tree or fence post it was sitting on?

The dog brought it home, do you know truly what killed it? He could have found it already dead.

It is gone and done, no troubles.

I think this one is beyond rehab...

Just sayin'.

OP- Toss it in the back woods and give Koda extra gravy on her kibbles tonight for a job well done.

We weren't talking about this one.

My Family and I were taking my brother (who is in the Navy) to the Airport 'cause he had a flight at 5:30 am in morning. We were gone all long. We hung out at the Mall until we left for home at 3:00 o'clock that afternoon and didn't get home till 4:30 pm. Koda must've killed it while I was gone.

Right now she's off chasing Coyote's in the field behind my house and barking her head off.

Had a 70# American Staffordshire Terrier (Pit Bull) named Jefferson. Never saw a coyote, cat, deer, or much of anything else until he died and was no longer available to be marking trees everywhere. Then the wildlife came out of the woodwork as it were. It is a regular wild kingdom now on my little 15 acre patch. No way we ever even had a stray dog. He once nearly killed one huge stray 20# bigger than he when I was not home.

An interesting question that stems from this...if it is illegal to kill the hawk, what if the hawk is attacking you and you reasonably believe your safety is at stake? They can do some serious damage, maybe even kill a very small child. We have an overly aggressive young Red Tailed hawk hanging around our property that has repeatedly dived at people's heads in an attempt to attack them, and having seen his claws that close to my face...I was really scared! It's weird that he goes after people like that, but does not bother my chickens.

I'm sorry, and yall may think I'm a nut, but if an animal, regardles of type/size/color/protection status or anything else, is attacking me, my family or my animals, I'm gonna do all I can to kill it. Period!!!!
