So maybe have them free range together and then bunk separately for a little while before them be in the same coop?
I usually just sneak them into the coop at night, when everyone is roosting. I put the new birds on the roost & then in the AM I go back down to see how they are adjusting. Sometimes all is good... Other times the new ones are so scared they are still on the roost! They will work things out over the next few days. If I see blood I will take out the wounded, but that is the only time I interfere.
