Well acually I do need to cut back some (not too deep) before I move. I have several nice asil and asil grades about 2 1/2 months old. Also have some REAL nice bantam Barred rock (trio) that I will probable sale, and some of the RIR bantams. I will post more today after I get functual. Was up near 24 hrs yesterday, so moving kind of slow now.

The vet said as much. He seemed optimistic since she wasn't seriously dehydrated when I took her in. Still, I will likely end up letting her stay at the vet's a few days. I can't really seem to make any headway. She still refuses food, even liquid, and she fights us when we force her.

we had to put her on a run cord because she was hiding from us in the woods.

I did get an ounce of the formula in her. Maybe she won't vomit later. Gave her a pill from vet for nausia earlier & it seems to be working to keep down what little fluids we can get into her.

Letting her stay w/ the vet is a great idea, they can give IV fluids since she isn't wanting to take them. I had a vet once that would give the dog fluids under the skin like a camel hump and let the body absorb it, I don't see that done much so I don't know if that is standard of care or just an old fashioned vet technique. It was used to let the animal go home, but still get fluids in him.

been a while since I posted, I've been helping my bro. on their new place and people are bringing me vehicles one after another to work on. more money for chickens I guess. I bought some Blue Cochins at POOPS, I took them to Okracefans house this week so they can start rebuilding their flock, my SIL fell in love with the roo. He is more of a splash than blue it was hard to part with him.

Mike, we have a new guy at work who is a chicken guy, he has games and lives on the east side of Dibble his name is Jimmy and says he knows u. he also attends Blanchard auction but I didn't recognize him.

Oh I see Betsy, yes that would be bad. I'm not as industrious as you, so would probably still have had everything the same. We've had a horrible Spring/Summer and have accomplished nothing.

I hope you've got them all licked. I have a dog DH brought home I'd bring over that you could use (he wouldn't let anything in your yard) unfortunately I'm still trying to get him to stop chasing the chickens when they run.

I love your lower complex. It's like a quaint old European village for chickens.



MichaelD, you can tell Macy that Macy and Mylie got Grand Champion at their respective shows with those 2 booted bantams we got from you. Big rosettes and plaques. I may be putting a wants list together for birds. Which auction or shows do you come to in the NE OK area?
