***OKIES in the BYC III ***

We will go to the local craft show & hit a couple of junk shops today. I worry this could be the last year doing this with my grandma.

I need to get off the computer & go feed.

Robin, I don't remember. Could have been Terramycin or even might have been Tylan. NN may come on and weigh in here. He's so good, he probably remembers. If it is an egg broken inside her, or maybe even just stuck there, the antibiotic could be imoprtant to fight infection until her body can absorb it. Of course, each case is different, and it is often next to impossible to tell just what is going on from descriptions.

Wayne, Yes we felt the earthquake. It was a 3.7 about 6 miles from us. We had discussed the earthquakes with our family and they saw the damage to our home. Just as the kiddos were getting ready to leave, it hit. Our son-in-law had only felt one in his life when he lived in Tennessee. This one shook the house and the calves took off running across the pasture. One little grandson asked "Is that thunder?"
As for the herd, we don't have any shorthorns in the herd anymore. We have been transitioning over to Angus and LimFlex ( a Limosin Angus cross). The shorthorn were nice momsd and and produced nicely muscled calves...but the heifer offspring could only take crossbreeding to F1 when crossed with the Limosin or with the Brangus bulls.

For those who have cellphones without iTune access, you can use a "Market" app called "Latest Quake". It is free and will give you up to date info on quakes.

I like how they arranged the guts just like if the chicken were alive so you can tell exactly where it's at.
