They're great, aren't they? The original "boot birds"; have to be careful not to step on them cause they're always under your feet. I have three huge grown cock birds that still follow me around like chicks after a Biddy.

I got my start from several places; Haggerty, Ideal (yes, the hatchery), the most recent addition were from Duane Urch and I'm pretty sure I'm going to order some lovely chicks from Laura Haggerty in the spring before I close the flock (She is Pathfinders here on BYC - easy to find on the Buckeye thread). Also, I just ran into a Gentleman named Roy Autry at the Shawnee show who was selling out of his Buckeyes, I think he said they came from Janet Hatch, I have his card if you're interested.

Sorry I was so late in getting to the show. I'm really happy with the Java roo. Thank you. He's got a place in my meat pens for next year

His cockerel offspring ought to be ideal for caponizing. I hope the toppy cross roo does well for you. I miss seeing him. He is such a colorful guy.

Thanks Coral, I got him home safe and settled in, one of the pullets I was going to put with him didn't make but I will put the other on in with him soon, He seems happy to be home! thanks, Lynn

Is there a link somewhere to information about the specific Oklahoma shows you mentioned? The APA website doesn't seem to have a calendar of events at all, and the ABA's last listed show in OK was in November. (for example, the ABA didn't have anything about the OK State show) and the Exhibition poultry magazine doesn't have any shows for OK either.

Here is what i found just now, may help, might contact the show sec. Lynn

I was hoping to find out about the Anadarko and Newcastle shows, do you mean I should just write Mike and ask if he knows?

That'd be great news if they were somewhere I could just go buy a few instead of having to order them online. Thanks for the tip.
Kass, I'm on my way to go look at your birds!!

You might write him, he may be able to send you a list of shows in Okla. or know of Lynn
