***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I hope someone can answer a question for me. None of my hens are laying and haven't for a few months, I talked to Modernman last night and he told me his Brahma's weren't laying right now. Is there something I can do other than artificial lighting in the coops to promote laying? My Orps. aren't laying either.

Between August and September it seemed that my entire flock went on strike. When Australorps quit laying you know you have a problem. To have the entire 40 hens not laying was really frustrating. I ended up worming the flock and increasing the protein and vitamins. They were in serious molt too so I tweaked the calcium. It took two weeks and finally began to see eggs. I get 18 - 26 a day now.

Hi all!
I have not posted in forever but I am on here all the time learning all I can. Hubby and I went to Blanchard last night but missed out on the hatching eggs. Had a great time chatting with Oakieridge tho! Now my problem...my bator is empty!

It is just sad sitting there lonely in the corner. Does anyone have any hatching eggs they might like to part with? Please help with my hatching addiction! LOL I am out by Tecumseh and Hubby works in Norman. I am more than willing to drive a bit. Looking for any color of orphingtons, speckled sussex, or blue or splash Marans. Actually any type of eggs sound good!

Thanks, Shellie

I won blue and blacks which I want to say are coming from VA. I'm not sure because I've looked at so many sellers lol and then the most eggs I won are white silkies. My daughter wanted to get partridge ones but we weren't lucky on that one so she will have to wait until later down the road. And I believe those are coming in from Arkansas. Could be wrong though. I have terrible memory haha.
Nice...thats all that matters!

How about Black Copper, Cuckoo and Gold Salmon Marans, Welsummers and B/B/S Americaunas? My neighbor has tons of eggs that won't all fit in his bator. We live in Choctaw.
